Just outside Freeport and only 30 minutes from Portland, this cozy space makes a calming retreat away from the city - for a night or for a week. Fall asleep listening to the peepers and gazing at the stars, drink your morning coffee while looking out at the cattle grazing in the fields.

Newly built guesthouse above owner's garage with insane sunrises & great view. Property is located on 36 acres, owner lives on site in a separate house with her 3 dogs, 1 exceptionally lazy cat and 4 rogue chickens (they may all come visit you!). Grounds have ancient apple trees, loads of perennial gardens with more in progress, berries and an organic vegetable garden that we would love to share from if desired. Bailiwick Cottage is a cozy, private cottage that looks south down Freeport (Harraseeket) Harbor in Freeport, ME. It is a 4 season accommodation that is close to Freeport shopping, Portland eating, and the Adventure Schools of LL Bean. The cottage sits approximately 50 yards from our main house, has its own parking space and patio, and offers the ability to come and go as you wish. We have had 12 honeymoons in the cottage. Large spacious Carriage House studio (the building with the red roof in the cover photo) on 34.5 acre working farm in Southern Maine. 1/2 hour from Portland and Biddeford/Saco, 40 min from Kennebunk. The farm looks out onto fields and woods in the back but sits on Rt 35 which is a not a highway, it's a country road, but people drive on it like it's the interstate.

On the farm you can meet and interact with our herd of goats, sheep, pigs and chickens, learn to milk, collect eggs, and arrange on of our famous goat hikes!
