This handmade cabin is made from logs and timbers that came from the property and is equipped with hot running water, TV and movies, beautiful full kitchen with stove and fridge, full bathroom.

Located in the woods, watch the river flow by from any window, the porch or walk the trails. The main room has a leather loveseat, rocking chair and propane fireplace. The loft has a queen mattress. BBQ with side burner and all kitchen appliances are there. There is an outhouse. No shower. Wifi available on the property. Kayaks are accessed at The Nest which is the 2nd cabin (that you can't see). Firewood available for free. Incredible night skies. Space and privacy. A soul restoring getaway.

The cabin homestead was crafted in 1847, before Canada was a country. With your significant other, family or friends, come cozy up to the fire, soak in the hot tub and enjoy swimming in the spring fed pond. Board games and movies are provided for your entertainment.

Enjoy a quite stay on a wooded lot in the heart of cottage country! The cabins are conveniently located within a short walking distance to the lovely town of Dorset, Kawagama Lake and Lake of Bays. The scenic lookout tower and hiking, snowmobiling and ATV trails are all at our doorstep! In town you can find restaurants on the water, Robinson's General Store and an LCBO. Come swim in the pristine waters, fawn over the fall colours or go for a rip on your snowmobile. It's all here!

If you enjoy hiking, you can go for a private hiking experience on our private trail (4-5km), check out Silent Lake Provincial Park (20 min) or Algonquin (1 hour) to enjoy the beautiful Canadian nature. THE KABINKA No service, no electricity, no plumbing, no problems "Kabinka" is the name of our eastern European inspired Chalet. She is unadorned, a simple off-grid shelter for your wilderness retreat. Configured equally for a large party of family/friends, or for a couple's weekend away (groups over 4 are charged more) Outside is a growing network of trails, winding along Rockingham Creek and surrounding hills, with views of our hobby farm and spectacular waterfalls.

The Nook, Peaceful Retreat: Lake+Hot Tub+ Sauna!

Heritage barn turned zen-den! Our open-concept, loft style, timber-frame cabin has exposed beams, barn board walls, and plenty of windows to enjoy the lake view. Decorated with a beachy boho meets mid-century vibe, it's cozy and airy at the same time! The private deck offers the perfect place to listen to the birds and read a good book. The Nook is on our 1 acre, lakefront property, alongside our home. We hope you love it here as much as we do!

Retreat style cottage + wood fired sauna

A private lakeside retreat with all-day sun and sunsets, featuring the main cabin, wood sauna, kayaks and rowboat, private shoreline and docks. Unlimited WIFI, a fully equipped kitchen, two fire pits, docks, excellent swimming (clean and weed free) on a private forested property. It is 15 minutes to Haliburton with many stores. Bedding and towels are an additional fee of 30.00 per bed. Please inquire. Long weekends are 3 days/nights minimum.
