Our spacious and secluded guest suite is in the perfect location to enjoy all that beautiful Charleston has to offer. Nestled in a quiet suburb, we’re less than a ten minute drive to the Battery and historic district of downtown, and a fifteen minute drive to Folly Beach. The suite was built in 2023, and includes a multitude of amenities for your perfect trip. With beautiful floor to ceiling windows, the view has sweeping oaks and mature magnolias, setting the scene for your Southern getaway.

Welcome to your peaceful oasis on James Island! Our 3br 1ba unit is located 4 miles from Folly Beach and 8 miles from downtown. You'll be able to enjoy all the benefits of both the city and the beach. This beautiful home has a private main entrance and plenty of parking in the 3-car driveway. All your basic amenities are provided for you within the house so that you can focus on what really matters: enjoying easy access to both beach and city. There's something here for everyone. From the windows and patio you can see the historic Morris Island Lighthouse and panoramic marsh views! Enjoy a gorgeous sunrise with coffee, or the evening breeze and glass of wine from your private, ground level patio. Perfect size for one or two couples or a romantic getaway. Your private, renovated flat occupies the top floor of our elevated home. We live in the floor below and use a separate entrance. We do not allow children under 14 and guests must be at least 24 years old.

Private Suite - Between Folly Beach & Downtown

Guest suite 5 miles from both Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Maximum occupancy: 2 guests of any age (including infants and children). Living room, kitchenette, bedroom (queen Casper Hybrid mattress), full bath, large deck. No pets or smoking. 2 TVs with many streaming services included (no cable). Fully permitted and licensed by the City of Charleston for short-term rental (OP#06936). As required by City regulations, we live on the same property, with our home connected to the suite.

The Garden Folly Guest House

Our architect said, “this is NOT a garage, it’s a Garden Folly!” Our Guest House has a bird’s eye view of the rose covered pecan tree and a vista of the marsh and the Wappoo Creek. When we rebuilt our 1930's garage we saved all the beaded siding and pine floor. My husband enjoyed incorporating many design elements and creative ideas. It was quickly becoming the Taj Garage. We decided it was just the kind of property we enjoy when we travel, so, Voila! we decided to share it with you!

Only 12 minutes to the airport and 4 minutes to I-526, the location is considered “centrally located.” 7 miles from downtown Charleston. 14 miles to Folly Beach. Close to many of the most popular wedding venues, plantations, and all the secret places the LowCountry has to offer.

You may hear the footsteps of our kids upstairs but it's otherwise set apart and private. Your suite is fully furnished and has beautiful views out to the marsh. King Suite / Private Entrance

Newly renovated guest suite on the upper Charleston Peninsula very close to Hampton Park and the Citadel Military College. Spacious, Comfortable, Quiet, has parking and is about a 13 minute drive to the Historic/business district or catch the free shuttle bus 3 blocks away. please note that the kitchenette area does not include a stove. Also note the stairs to the second floor location in case mobility is an issue.
