Alexander Guesthouse in the Historic Houston Heights

Bright, airy and private guesthouse nestled in Houston's historic Heights neighborhood. Minutes away from local eateries, unique shopping opportunities and everything Houston has to offer, this guesthouse is the perfect retreat. Relax in the garden, enjoy a night of s'mores around the fire-pit or just unwind on the couch while watching a movie. The guesthouse overlooks a spacious yard that is shared with the owners and their dogs. This guesthouse is bright and airy with vaulted 12 foot ceilings in the living room and kitchen. The kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, beautiful quartz counter-tops and all the basic necessities (including a blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc.). We always provide complimentary coffee to help get our guests day started off properly. The living room features comfortable and modern furniture, including a sofa bed and a 40" television with Xfinity X1 cable provided (with voice command). The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with crisp, lush bedding. You will also find a desk that's perfect for doing a little work (if you have to) on your laptop. The alarm clock has a Bluetooth setting if you want to listen to your own music while reading in bed. In the closet you'll find a full size washer and dryer, wooden hangers for your clothes and an iron and ironing board to keep your outfits looking neatly pressed. The bathroom features natural light which highlights the beautiful accent tile in the shower surround. There is a full-sized bathtub in case you want to take a soak. The entire guesthouse has its own WiFi along with hardwired internet connections. We take our commitment to our guests seriously and want to ensure you have everything you need to make your stay wonderful. Guests will have full access to the apartment. Guests can also enjoy accessing the backyard, featuring a seating area with a fire-pit and access to a propane powered BBQ grill. Check-in couldn't be easier. The apartment has a key pad for entry and guests will be provided with an access code prior to arrival. Some tips for using various appliances and features are located on laminated cards around the apartment (so you can sync your device to Bluetooth audio, log into WiFi, etc.) A simple house manual will be located on the kitchen counter along with some highlights about the area the guesthouse is located in. The guesthouse is located at the rear of a property in Houston Heights. Walk only a few blocks to reach the hike and bike trail. Shop on the famous 19th street nearby, and visit a wealth of local antique shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Our property is located right on a major bus line that makes for a 15 minute trip into downtown Houston where you can access theaters, restaurants and the city's light-rail line that can take you straight to Midtown (where you will find a variety of bars and restaurants) and the Museum District. Street parking is available for those with their own car and the city features ride-sharing services like Lyft and Uber. No smoking in the unit, no pets under any circumstances, no drugs or illegal activities.

This space is perfectly nestled between Montrose, the Museum District, and Houston's world-class Medical Center. Kick back on a papasan swing in the outdoor lounge area at this two-story artist's space in the Westmoreland Historic District. Abundant house plants, chic wall art, and pink Eames dining chairs make for an eclectic retreat. Close to Midtown and Downtown too! Lovely outdoor lounge areas, chair swings, relaxing hammocks. Additional amenities include a stocked kitchen, Roku, snacks, bath robes, games, books, laundry soap, PureSteam clothing steamer and good vibes♥️ Please enjoy the many outdoor areas I have. This hobbit house, belonging to a little hairy footed fellow, has a life long journey of accumulating artifacts of the wonderous eras of ancient. You will find a vast collection of books both rare and of great value to feast your imagination and curiosity. This cozy haven, though adorned with swords and weapons of the great heroes of old, serves as a reminder that it is the little things that keep the darkness at bay. Primary renter must be 21 years or older and present for duration of stay.

We are just north of downtown Houston and ~5 min away from White Oak Music Hall. Ride shares are never more than a few minutes away. There is free on-site parking with a private driveway secured with an automatic gate. We offer comfortable outdoor furniture with fire pits & lighting. A griddle, grill, and pellet smoker are all available.

Walking distance from a Kroger, Dollar store, local Hispanic taco shop, coffee shops, etc. Get to Hobby in 14 mins, or IAH in less than 30. Extremely close to downtown, Daikin, Toyota Center, & Convention center, only 15ish mins from the medical district & the Galleria area. Doggie friendly. We would love to share our home with you.
