Situated one block from Town Square, Rothesay Cottage consists of the front rooms of an original 1870s home, moved from Newbury by steam tractor in 1928. The overall style is a hybrid of 1870s and 1920s Art Deco to reflect its history. Your queen room boasts a stunning period bedroom suite complete with ensuite. Your snug (cosy lounge) includes the original operational Edwardian fireplace with a modern cupboard kitchenette. The front verandah has been enclosed to create a sunroom with daybed.

Welcoming guests for twenty years, this is one of the most sort after locations on Lake Daylesford, right on the water's edge, a stylish and intimate retreat welcoming up to six guests. Rancho Relaxo Eco House is an off-grid property, just a 10 minute drive (13kms) outside of Daylesford, VIC. It is an ideal couples retreat or a friends getaway. The Cottage is two story and the main bed and additional bed (within the reading area) is located on the 2nd level. The Cottage, including the sleeping areas, is an open plan space with natural light and views of the spring fed dams and paddocks. Local bird life is abundant and you may see the occasional Kangaroo wandering the grounds.

We have central hydronic heating but the 2 large open fireplaces are a real feature of the cottage. We are regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras and other native wildlife. Fur kids are entirely welcome and we have a secure area with a large kennel if you want to leave them while you explore the delights of Daylesford.

The Barn at Weatherboard

Set among an abundant and lively garden, The Barn is our fully detached, unique guest house. The building was originally a fully functional blue stone farm barn but since owning the property we have converted the space into an open plan house, complete with kitchen, bathroom, large living area and two mezzanine bedrooms. The outside remains in its original state while the inside has been decorated with a collection of artwork and objects from our travels overseas.
