Serenity by the Stream

Cabin in the Shenandoah Mountain surrounded by National Forest on 3 sides. Inside cozy atmosphere with warm lighting and local landscape art throughout. The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Watch the sunrise from a hanging basket chair at 2700 feet of elevation, or wait for moonrise and toast spectacular star views! Relax in the sauna after a day filled with hiking and an al fresco meal on the deck. Roast s’mores at the deck fire table or over the side yard fire pit. There's magic in the air at this mountaintop retreat!

Cabin at Rabbit Hollow

Charming log cabin nestled in a glen by the Shenandoah National Park is an ideal retreat for a romantic get-a-way. The first floor contains a beautiful kitchen, dining area, full bathroom featuring a whirlpool tub, and cozy living room with a wood burning fire place. The second level holds the bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and a half bathroom. There are two porches where guests can relax with their morning coffee or evening cocktails while enjoying the wooded and mountain views.

Unwind in a private mini retreat- enjoy waking up in the king size bed to forest views, birdsong, and a front porch made for sitting! Listen to rain on the tin roof or enjoy a bonfire in the fire pit after taking a stroll down our private wooded trails or wading in the creek. Enjoy our rustic, cozy, historic log cabin in the woods on 21 acres with two streams and a little meadow. The logs, from the 1800's, were reconfigured 17 years ago combining a rich history with high speed internet and modern amenities. Sink into the luscious bed with totally organic sheets, mattress topper, and pillows. Take a walk on the original wagon train road down to a stream or bath your senses in the majestic view of Jump Mountain from the meadow.
