The America Room is named after America Dickinson, the sister of Thomas Childs Dickinson who first bought the house. A cozy retreat, we've decorated the America Room in patriotic red, white, and blue, along with some period antiques. The handmade heirloom quilt graces a queen-size bed. Historically recognized both locally and Nationally. Experience history in the horse country! Built in 1843 one of the oldest standing homes in Lexington. Built as a bed and breakfast history suggests Abraham Lincoln stayed in the home once upon a time. The underground railroad stopped here, marked by the now 200 year old towering Oak tree. The floor plan allows for large scale entertaining and separates public from private spaces.
