Rainbow River getaway - kayaks, tubes & golf cart

Unplug and Relax here...Location Location!!! 2BR 1.5 B...you are 2 blocks from the river, included is a 2 acre park ON THE RIVER with place to cook out, volleyball, launch kayaks, paddle boards or tubes. You are close to KP Hole Park where you can rent paddle boards canoes or tubes. Take the golf cart and ride to our home from the river park! Two kayaks and paddle boards incl Super convenient, nice kitchen, new appliances, Washer and dryer on site. Perfect weekend getaway or stay longer!

The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Welcome to our newly built guesthouse, located on top of a hill in a peaceful farm setting, where modern amenities meet rural escape. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch, surrounded by giant oaks, where you can hear the birds sing and watch the animals roam. We are located just 20 minutes from World Equestrian Center (WEC), 15 mins from HITS, and 30 minutes from Gainesville and the University of Florida, in the epicenter of equestrian and diver’s paradise! Ample parking in front of the house for at least 4 cars, can also accommodate boat trailers. Washer and Dryer on first floor. FYI there are stairs to climb.

Country setting, FREE use of the Kayaks and golf cart, or take the kayaks to Rainbow River, my place is on the “Withlacoochee River” so you would put in at the neighborhood ramp and paddle North to get to the Rainbow River. The KP Hole and Rainbow Springs State Park are 10-15 min away. You can bring your own boat, “there is a boat ramp in the neighborhood”, and local ramps in town. Relax by the fire in the evening. Peaceful, quiet and only 10 minutes from town for shopping and dining.

Our one-bedroom cottage sits in the middle of over 25 acres of the beautiful Florida Nature Coast. Even though we are secluded, we have all the comforts of home, from indoor plumbing and hot water to AC and Wi-Fi. Our TV has a Firestick, so bring your streaming accounts and relax night away after you retire from roasting Smores on the outdoor firepit. A fold out sleeper couch takes this from a 2 person cottage to 4 in just minutes. Parking is not an issue, even if you have a trailer.

We are offering a quiet space overlooking our main pasture and pond nestled under Oak trees. Our 20 acre farm is surrounded by mature Oaks giving it a secluded feel and is fully fenced for privacy and safety. Morriston is located in Levy county, lovingly nicknamed the "Nature Coast" in Florida. We are near Devils Den, Rainbow River, Blue Springs, and WEC. Looking forward to hosting fellow adventurers!
