Travel one mile down a sugarcane-lined road to arrive at this self-built cabin modeled after an 1830s Acadian Village home. This one-room rustic cabin sits on 27 acres, perfect for a gadget-free weekend of star gazing and bird watching. You’ll love sipping your coffee (or wine) on the large porches, complete with swing, rockers, and ceiling fans. Bring your furry friend and take long walks around the tree-lined property, or cozy up with your loved one and bask in the privacy of the cabin.

Cajun Acres Log Cabin

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. We do not allow pets. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.

The calendar is updated daily .We are in a prime safe location close to the Houma Civic Center. We offer a very private space-perfect for a couple's getaway or work trip! There's also a semi private courtyard and pool. The 322 sq.ft studio cottage includes Wifi, a full bathroom with shower and kitchenette. Enjoy the patio of plants, drink a glass of wine, or simply unwind and relax. This cozy cottage is your home away from home while traveling in the bayou area!

Cabins are prewar 1940's motor court with covered parking. Each cabin features, queen bed, TV, WiFi, small bathroom with small shower, original lavatory & fixtures in bathroom. Small kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Air conditioners and electric space heaters. Restaurant (Magnolia Cafe) hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10-3 and Coffee Shop ( Birdman ) on site. Come enjoy history with modern amenities and explore the beautiful plantations homes in our area.
