Featherstone View Cottage

Featherstone View Cottage is a fully equipped, private, self-catering cottage designed for practical living and simple comforts, with beautiful mountain views of Featherstone Kloof and Signal Hill. It is a calm place to reflect and unwind as you take in the breathtaking views, while still being very close to the city, shops and schools. Off the grid: take a break from load-shedding and water-shedding. The cottage is situated 5km (7 minutes’ drive) from the centre of Makhanda (Grahamstown).

Settlers' Rest lodge is situated on a privately-run game in the malaria-free bushveld of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It offers a home away from home and is an ideal destination for the whole family to get back to nature. Settlers' Rest is only 30km from Grahamstown and easily accessible to most vehicles. The farm sports a large variety of indigenous game and birds. Self-drive, hike or cycle around the farm or relax on our veranda with breath-taking views over the Eastern Cape bush.

The kitchen is fully equipped to enable special dinners for family and friends, or you can have a braai on the patio. The house is ideally located for St Andrews, DSG and Kingswood schools.

Our cottages are located within the 12,000ha Fort Governor's Estate just outside Grahamstown. With fantastic views out to the reserve from the privacy of your own deck, you can enjoy a romantic retreat or a relaxed getaway with a group of friends. So sit back, cool off in the pool, dig your toes into the sea sand of our boma, pour a drink and relax around a roaring fire. PLEASE NOTE : Access to all our lodges is via a farm dirt road. We are a working farm so road conditions are variable.

Graceland Country Retreat is situated on a farm, 10km's from the centre of Grahamstown. Suitable for groups or individuals looking for a peaceful, country getaway, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling or simply relaxing. The house is completely off grid. Sparkling spring water is supplied to the house and fills the indoor solar heated pool. Evening sunsets are spectacular. The space is ideal for family gatherings. It is also suitable as a retreat centre.

The Homestead at Lands End

The Homestead is situated on a family owned and operated game farm. Sleeping 25 people in 6 bedrooms. With fresh Roosterbrood on arrival, you can relax on the hammock, while watching the kids swimming in the pool or wood-fired hot tub, it is the perfect retreat for large families who all want to be together under one roof.
