Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

Welcome to The Sows Ear @ Rahui 🐷. 45 mins east of Masterton. A renovated cottage in the beautiful established Rahui gardens 🌸 You cant get much more rural than this. No phones, no wifi , just good old fashioned being 'present', hanging out with Mother Nature, listening to the birds, and enjoying the company you are with. Rahui has 3 houses on it, We are in the front house. You may see us walking about, or quad bikes. Rent the ebikes for a sweet as ride to the coast. Two great pubs near by

Cole st Cottage is just a five minute walk to town on the very popular Cole st. A beautifully restored, cute as a button 1902 house with a front and back deck to relax on. A cosy log burner for Winter stays and a sunny back area in Summer. The house has two rooms with queen beds and one room with two single beds. A walk to the river mouth weather permitting and depending on tides is where you will experience 7000 year old Totara Tree stumps . There are amazing rock formations at the mouth of the Kaiwhata river also. In evening you can relax under the night sky in the private spa pool which is right outside you door.
