Enjoy cooking in the funky kitchen, an open air shower or soak in the fire bath, or some quality time in our cosy hut. All this is close to Motueka, stunning beaches, Nationalparks etc

Bird's Nest – Charming Sunny Family House

Bird's Nest is a private sunny family house surrounded by a secluded peaceful garden with lots of trees and birds. A perfect place to relax and rest with your family while exploring the Abel Tasman Nationalpark, the Great Taste Cycle Trail or the Richmond Hills. The Richmond Hills have lots of walking and mountain bike trails with fantastic views over the Tasman Bay. Rabbit Island with its wonderful beach and spectacular scenery is also a great place to enjoy the day and just 15 min away by car.

For it's first 30 years it was the 2nd story of one of the areas original farmsteads before being split from the ground level and relocated 100m north to where it sits today. We welcome you to come stay on the boundaries of the Abel Tasman on our farm and amongst the nature and soak up the view of the Abel Tasman Foothills and Tasman Bay Ocean views. This is an old school 1 bedroom Bach with an amazing kitchen and living room centred round a cozy fireplace. Stay includes free unlimited Wifi with full kitchen and bathroom. The main reception is just 300m away for any help or local advise. The legendary Park Cafe is just down the road 100m.

This house has stunning elevated views over Tasman Bay. Sit and watch all the ships, fishing boats and yachts going in and out of the harbour. It is in a very quiet location, yet only 5 minutes drive to the coast/beach and CBD. Or if you prefer walking, the town with all of it's boutique shops, pubs and restaurants is around 20 minutes away. The home has large open plan living, dining (extendable table and 6 chairs) and sun rooms, and kitchen area with large windows, elevated deck.
