Trails for hiking and premier mountain biking in the Tahoe National Forest; simply open your door and begin your adventure. Short drive to Nevada City and Yuba River; 45 minutes to ski slopes in the Sierras. The custom 600 sq. ft. private studio with a gas fireplace is fully equipped for up to 4 guests.

Vintage 1950 yellow Vagabond trailer, on our property but secluded, short walk to downtown Nevada City. Kitchen, dining table and bedroom. Nice outbuilding houses propane shower and composting toilet ("number one" is OK in trailer). Woodsy, birdsong-y site on W. Broad - mild to (rarely) moderate traffic noise. Cooking utensils and dishes are in the well-appointed kitchen, which has a stove, small oven, and icebox - we provide ice blocks. Owners on property always available but give you space.

Our majestic cabin with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, game room, and loft is located just off I-80 before Donner Summit for easy access from the Bay Area. You can skip the traffic over the summit and be on vacation sooner. The PlaVada Woodlands neighborhood in Soda Springs is 2.5-3 hours from the Bay Area and 15 minutes west of the historic town of Truckee, 5 miles from Sugar Bowl, and Donner Lake is 10 minute drive. The Yuba River is directly across the street and the cabin backs up to open space.
