Welcome to our cozy little getaway for 2 waiting for you! Our woodsy cottage is just 1 mile from Scotts Flat Lake & 5 miles from Nevada City. This area has so much to offer from lake fun on the boat, paddle board or kayak; to mountain biking, hiking, snow shoeing and more. We are close to many foothill attractions (historical museums/landmarks/boutique shopping/theaters/music) and wine tasting/culinary delights to please the foodies. Welcome to Gold City Getaway at Moonflower Manor! This charming, cozy, unique apartment is located in the heart of downtown Nevada City in a historical Victorian dating back to 1880. Just steps from the shopping, dining, coffee, art, live music and entertainment, and in-town hiking that Nevada City has to offer. Experience the Beauty of the Sierra foothills and the Yuba River in our Yurt tucked into the forest just 2 miles from downtown Nevada City. Country Living magazine listed Nevada City as one of the top 10 small cities. Grass Valley is 10 minutes away as well and has more food, shopping, and entertainment for you. Access to the Yuba River is as close as 20 mins to Edwards Crossing and 20 mins to Hoyts Crossing on Highway 49.

Russtic Roadside Retreat, a glamping cabin

Russtic Roadside Retreat is a small glamping cabin in a private corner of our property. It includes a queen bed, small "camp" kitchen, flush toilet, shower (towels are provided), small deck, and electric heater.( Note that it can be cold in the cabin when the temps dip into the 20s and 30s.) Pets are welcome but must not be allowed to get on the bed. Historic Nevada City is just a short walk from the site.

Situated in a peaceful setting, located on 2 1/2 acres in the Northern Sierra Nevada Foothills of California. We invite you to relax on the front porch and view the wildlife which may include deer, turkey, and many varieties of birds, depending on the season. Only minutes from Lake Wildwood.
