Rustic getaway in the beautiful Litchfield Hills of Northwestern Connecticut featuring a 2-acre pond and access to 9 miles of unique hiking trails on 450+ wooded acres. Cozy 1700's farmhouse comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 2 bedrooms, with an additional kids room that has a fold-out double futon and loft with one double air-mattress, perfect for children's sleeping bags. Or stay at home and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding woods, light a fire in the woodstove, cook in the large fully-equipped kitchen or head out back to barbecue on the large deck and play a game of badminton in the yard.

Our home is designed to be your home away from home! It has been newly renovated with comfort in mind so you can enjoy your stay in the Berkshires. Whether you are here to hike parts of the Appalachian Trail, stroll into town for a leisurely meal, enjoy Lime Rock Race Track or explore the many surrounding New England towns you can be assured you will always have a comfortable home to come back to!! My home is located just a 3 minute walk to the center of town and the historic White Hart.

Stay in Downtown Canaan

This light-filled space with its own private entrance. There is one bedroom with a king-sized bed, spacious living room with table for meals, a large TV, a refrigerator stocked with bottled water and 1/2&1/2 for coffee, microwave and coffee maker with coffee pods are provided. WELL BEHAVED dogs are welcome. Poop bags are provided. You will hear the train as it travels through town. There are several places to eat nearby. Walk to town , pizza and more. Great place to relax after a day of exploring Litchfield county and the Berkshires.

The Farmhouse

Enjoy staying at our charming Farmhouse in the heart of our working dairy farm. Our farm sits on some of the most beautiful hills in Cornwall with the famous Gateway to Cornwall view where you can see our dairy cows grazing in the grandeur of nature. Come say hello to the cows in the barn during milking or watch the herd cross the road evoking sites you might expect to see in small European farming villages. You'll likely see us on our tractors bringing hay and water to our cows!
