'Waterfront' on 1796 Historic Farm

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem! The Springhouse is nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia’s Wine Country! Originally constructed in the early 1800's, the structure was built over a natural spring that was used for refrigeration. Water from the spring maintains a constant cool temperature throughout the year while also filling a pond. The original stone well, channel and stone flooring are all intact for guests to explore and experience how our ancestors lived.

Enjoy your stay in this fabulous pool house located in a quiet neighborhood. Relax poolside during the day and enjoy the outdoor bar and kitchen for cocktails at sunset. Breathtaking views all around. Just 50 minutes from Baltimore and Washington DC and 10 minutes to historic downtown Frederick. A unique and private mountain top colonial era spring house, with two springs flowing thru the basement. Originally the site of a tannery in the 1700s. Here you can relax, recharge, and rejuvenate. We celebrate all four seasons where you can enjoy Mother Nature's ever changing scenery at 1300' above sea level with fresh mountain air. Our area offers many things to do, or you may choose to stay in and do nothing at all.
