The apartment enjoys good access to public transportation: major bus stops are 1 to 2 blocks away and Columbia Heights metro station is less than a 10 minute walk (Cleveland Park Metro is a short bus ride away). Street parking is available on a first come, first served basis but residential parking permits are required during the week (not weekends) if you plan to park more than 2 hours at a time. There’s a supermarket two blocks away, as well the cocktail bars that line 14th St NW. There are several Metro stations nearby, the most convenient is Dupont Cicle, red line, also there are shuttles and buses to different locations nearby. There are discounts for monthly rents.

We are far enough outside of the city to enjoy the peace and quiet, but just a short drive to all the action. We are close to Monticello, James Monroe's Highland and 28 minutes away from the city center of historic Charlottesville. There are plenty of vineyards all around us and a couple of orchards, too.

A cute studio apartment in the basement of a newly renovated home. Guests have a private entrance with their own private bathroom. You also have use of a full-size washer and dryer. Other amenities include an honor bar stocked with beer and wine, an arcade style game with over 200 popular titles including Ms. Pac Man, and coffee/tea. Please note that we live upstairs, but the space is private. It is separated by a stairwell and a locking door. It is comparable to a hotel room, but nicer.

Dogs are allowed for a $75 fee per stay for the 1st, $25 after, up to 3 dogs max, extra fees charged after reservation.

Built in 2019, our home was designed to make our guests' stay enjoyable. In 2023 a Grotto waterfall feature was added with surrounding 3-foot pond. There are two master bedrooms with walk-in showers, as well as a lovely play set in the back yard. The 1st floor master closet was converted into a simple nursery with a crib and baby swing. The master bedroom on the 2nd floor has a king size bed for parents and a twin size bed for a child.
