The Cottage in East Poultney

The Cottage is located in historic East Poultney next to the old Poultney schoolhouse (now historical society). Slate Valley hiking/bike trails surround the area. About 1 mile to the town of Poultney, which has stores, shops, restaurants and a Pub. The sidewalk starts in front of the cottage which leads directly to town. Great for a walk, jog or bike ride. Pico, Killington and Bromley Mountains all less than an hour drive. 3 miles away from Lake St Catherine and under 10 miles to Lake Bomoseen.

Relax with family and friends at this incredibly peaceful home on Tinmouth Pond with AMAZING views. Located in the quaint town of Tinmouth, this cottage is 4-season, so it offers all sorts of summer activities as well as the winter with FIVE ski areas less than an hour away. In the summer, we offer the use of two standup paddle-boards, two inflatable canoes, and a standard canoe for fun on the water. There is also a large fire pit to gather around.

The historic “Smithy" at Consider Bardwell Farm is the original building used for blacksmithing by Consider Bardwell, himself, in the 1800s. Complete with brand-new, architect-designed kitchen and bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and stone patio for outdoor grilling and dining, the Smithy is beautiful inside and out. Enjoy meeting our goats and all the local goodies and products that we can stock in your cottage.
