Uncover LA's Haunted History & the True Crimes of Downtown

Guided by "Gourmet Ghosts" author James T. Bartlett, step into downtown's spookiest locations and explore the architecture, crimes - and ghost stories - of LA's dark and deadly history. We start at the Biltmore Hotel, where the "Black Dahlia" was last seen alive, where ghosts haunt the ballrooms, and where a classic ghost movie was filmed. We then walk a block to Oviatt's Deadly Dream, the palace of Fashionista and designer James Oviatt - and building he still haunts after it killed him. Next we'll stop outside the Cecil Hotel. Two serial killers stayed here, and we will revisit Elisa Lam - the girl found dead on the roof water tank - and hear about the hotel's place at the center of "Suicide Triangle." Back on Spring Street, we will visit the building that now houses the Last Bookstore, and conjure up their resident ghost by going behind-the-scenes to where he died. Opposite is the Alexandria Hotel and its "Ghost Wing", which has been sealed off from the world for over 85 years, and we'll find out why the LAPD were searching for a "Ghost Woman" who had murdered a guest. Also we visit the unique skylit Bradbury Building. Known for appearing in "Blade Runner" and "The Artist", this 132 year-old legend was born came from a ghostly encounter through time. Learn to Fly an airplane Above LA

Prior to boarding, pose like a seasoned pro for a photo shoot with the airplane. Once you’re on board, the pilot will give you an overview of the instruments and controls. After getting clearance from the tower, you’ll taxi to the runway for takeoff. Once at cruising altitude, you’ll learn basic flying skills in the training area over the Simi Valley. Then, grab hold of the controls and feel free to move about the skies, exploring LA by air. Finally, in preparation for landing, you’ll come back down to earth at Van Nuys Airport. Other things to note IMPORTANT : This experience is currently only offered as a private experience. The guest has to book both spots on the experience and will be allowed to bring an additional guest to sit in the back seat. Only one guest will be in the front seat. Approximate flight time is 40 mins Expect a cancellation if there is bad weather. Only two passengers are allowed per ride to create a guest-focused experience.

Yacht private anchor trip to White Island with pro photos

This adventure is 3 hours of sun soaking bliss aboard our 42ft Bertram yacht. We begin our trip at our dock in Rainbow Harbor in heart of downtown Long Beach. From there we head 2 miles out to White Island and drop our anchor. White Island is a small private island near the beach in Long Beach that blocks much of the wind and waves and makes a perfect spot for this type of trip. The island is a beautiful photo backdrop with a Disney-esque look including soaring palm trees, walls and sculptures. There, we will drop anchor among the other yachts and have a lazy sun-soaked day on our yacht. Sunbathe, Jump off the boat. Splash around and cool off. Enjoy your food (Ice chests allowed). Lounge on our beanbags up top. Listen to your music. Work on your tan or take a nap on our beanbags. There is a full kitchen and private bathroom aboard for our guests, make yourself at home. Ask Ryan to pose you on the bow and rails and use his professional camera. He will do a complimentary portrait photoshoot for everyone who asks for it. Perfect relaxing day on your own private yacht for the day in LA!
