It's our go-to for hole-in-the-wall Chineese Food. It's good quality and quantity for the price. Takeout is best but they also deliver. It's a short walk - be aware, they share the building with a gas station but don't let that scare you away.

Great collection with a mix of hands on for the kids and enough to keep the adults busy too. Don't miss the city view from the outdoor pavilion on the 3rd floor. Also check out the miniature gem carvings.

They typically offer free tours during the week. Check the web or call to verify. Last time we went the entrance was through the basement doors on the south - but worth verifying! If all goes well you get to go up to the dome and get some unique city views. No matter what, go by the steps on the west side and take your photo at the 'mile high' step.
It is cool to see where money is made but I (and other guests) have found the tour a little under-whelming. If you are really into coins then by all means check it out. I found the Federal Money Museum more interesting.

Quick and interesting little museum right downtown on the mall. While near there be sure to walk down the west side of Curtis street and keep an ear out when you walk over the grates for the 'audio art' installation.

The mall and the surrounding shops are Denver's high end shopping. They are a mile away! There are a few more budget friendly bars and restaurants mixed in too. This is also the closest Verizon and Apple store should you have phone issuese.

This is on my list for all out of town guests, any time of the year. It's a great outdoor amphitheater surrounded by a park with trails and great scenery. You can't really explain the beauty here as the theater is built into the giant Red Rocks. It's usually open during the day (but check ahead) and the locals use it for working out and picnics. Take your water and sunscreen and be ready to climb some stairs - it's totally worth it. Plus you get a great view of the city! While in the area, check out Dinosaur Ridge, the Coors Tour, Lookout Mountain, and the quaint city of Golden.

It's a mile walk to the park and another 3 or so if you do a full lap around the park. If you drive, take Washington South to Ohio then park on the street between Emerson and Downing. There is some parking in the park too.
