Casa Tranche - Orvieto

Casa Tranche is a rustic farmhouse immersed in the Orvieto countryside, in the center of an ancient volcanic valley. Surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, it is a cosy house which preserves many inhabitants' traces through paintings, objects and books. The perfect place for communal activities and immersion in the calm of the countryside. Within an hour's drive: Orvieto, Viterbo, Civita di Bagnoregio, Bolsena lake and hot springs (Bagni San Filippo, Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano, Saturnia).

When it was first spotted this old Umbrian cowshed had stood derelict for over 40 years and was in desperate need of some TLC. Now, newly completed (summer 2022) this traditional rural building has been lovingly restored by the owner architect, who with the help of amazing local craftsmen has sensitively combined the best of contemporary design with traditional restoration work. The large private garden is a treasure of tranquility with cherry and olive trees, roses and herbs. The living room has high beamed ceilings with doors opening onto the garden. Shops and restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. There is a free shuttle bus to Civita.

Bolsena House

This is our vacation home in beautiful Bolsena. We rent it out when we do not use it ourselves. This view is from our rooftop terrace. It overlooks the Santa Cristina Basilica and Bolsena lake - the largest lake of volcanic origin in Europe. Our house is located in the center of the old town, only a few minutes walk from the waterfont with its charming marina, peaceful beaches and numerous good restaurants. Pets are allowed upon request.
