In the apartment you will find: - 1 big living room with a comfortable sofa, armchair, big working/dining table and a TV, overlooking the rooftops of Ghent - 1 fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, water boiler, dishwasher, fridge, French press and coffee grinder - 1 bedroom for 2 people (king size bed) overlooking the main street - 1 smaller bedroom with a box spring bed for 2 people and a desk - 1 bathroom with a bathtub and a standing shower - separate toilet - utility room with a washing machine, drying machine, ironing board, iron and a drying rack The apartment is equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a shampoo, conditioner, make up remover, body lotion and various other hygienic products. Please take note, that the apartment is not suited for young children (say under the age of 5) since we are not equipped for this and also the furniture is not adjusted (glass coffee table for example). The apartment is on the 3rd floor, with no elevator. The apartment is very close to both public buses and trams. You will find the nearest tram station, Vogelmarkt (tram line 2), just around the corner, and the nearest bus station, Gent Zuid (most bus lines), a couple of streets away. A friend or I will welcome you and provide you with keys and a tour of the apartment. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all! Burgstraat 17 is an old Patrician house constructed in 1515. Later the house was split in 2 houses and became neglected for many years. In 2019 we started the renovation, with as only purpose, to keep the soul and respect the history and grandeur of the original house. Its exceptional history, unique architecture and central position made it worth doing so. Tears, joy and a lot of work resulted in the place where you are right now. We hope you enjoy and respect this place as much as we do.

Steenuil

Geniet van de rust, het geroep van de steenuil of de gezellige koeien op deze rustige locatie omringd door weiland en landbouwgrond. Je verblijft in een zelfgebouwde woonwagen, geïsoleerd met schapenwol en uitgerust met een goed bed en hoogslaper én een knusse zithoek met zicht op weiland. Douche en toilet zijn in aparte unit, mét infrarood straler. Zalig douchen met zicht op de natuur. zet een kopje koffie of thee en geniet van de omgeving. Winkels en restaurants vlakbij.

Het vakantiehuis heeft 4 slaapkamers, een grote sfeervolle living met pellet kachel, een volledig ingerichte keuken met bijkeuken en een grote afgesloten tuin met overdekt terras. Het is de ideale uitvalsbasis voor het verkennen van de streek: guldensporenstad Kortrijk, het oorlogsverleden in en rond Ieper, de kunststeden Brugge en Gent of een uitstap naar de zee.

Our house is located on the border of a residential area in the woods of Hertsberge, very close to Bruges, Gent, Flanders's fields and the coast. One part of the house is where we live, the other part is the one we rent out. Newly redecorated.
