Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

Spivey Falls Cabin, A Cabin by a Waterfall

A secluded cabin with access to two private, large waterfalls in the Mountains of Tennessee. Nestled on a cliff, the beautiful nature offer precipitous trails to a swimming area beneath a waterfall. The family home overlooks a 75 foot cascading waterfall. Garden trails follow along the creek and incline. Interior cabin exhibits variety of cultural nostalgia from the local family's home and tradition. We hope you come away with peace, tranquility of God's nature and restorative living water .

Book our **NEWLY RENOVATED** cabin and get access to 700+ acres of trails and woods. Birch Burrow is located on the beautiful property of High Pastures Christian Retreat Center in Burnsville, NC. We are minutes from quaint downtown Burnsville and all the conveniences you would need. Sit on the porch while listening to the creek or explore the nearby attractions such as waterfalls, hikes, state parks, fishing, and many more. Wifi Room available on property just a short walk from the cabin.

Step back in time at the Persimmon Farm and Lodge! This picturesque Appalachian cabin was built from on-site materials in 1910 using traditional log and stone architecture. The cozy log cabin is right on Main Street within walking distance to brewery, local shops, ice cream, restaurants, live music, entertainment on the square and much more! Enjoy a night out on the town or cozy up by the warm fire pit. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.

River Relaxation

Our cabin is in the woods just up the hill from the river. The river is great for wading and fishing. There is also picnic areas at the river with chairs, tables, fire pits, and plenty of trees to hang a hammock. This property has a main house. The parking area and the cabin are on the lower level of the house. There is a sidewalk that goes past the house to the cabin. The cabin has it's own private area with a side yard, outdoor furniture and a firepit.

This unique place sits near the boundary of the National forest. With a composting toilet and close proximity to nature, it’s best viewed as premium, luxury camping experience. To be warm you have to build fire, to be cool, set screens in the window. In the hopes that these ‘labors’ will deter the faint of heart, and welcome the brave, experienced spirits who are fascinated by nature and ready to get closer to it.

Mountaintop privacy, yet only 5 miles to town. At nearly 4,000 Ft elevation, take advantage of the comfort, serenity and breathtaking views of this private, peaceful mountain cabin. Mild summer temps, the Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby, and Asheville is less than an hour away. Internet has finally been restored! Out for a year following Hurricane Helene has been rough, but it's back up and running.
