Hamano Sushi on Castro St by 24th St has been a mainstay of the Noe Valley restaurant scene for decades and has a well-deserved following. All the sushi is excellent but my personal favorites are the Castro Roll, the Sunset Roll, and the Soba Cha (roasted buckwheat) tea.

Noe Valley. Hamano has been a reliable neighborhood sushi spot for years, but a former Saison chef took the keys in 2016, and quietly and meticulously, everything only got better. Located around the corner on Castro Street.

Less expensive (than nearby Saru) sushi. Our family favorite on weeknights.

Great sushi at a reasonable price. Make sure you sit at the sushi bar and not in the restaurant, the chefs are great!
