If you’re a pizza lover, Salt & Bread is a must visit - serving some of the best Roman-style pizza in the State. They also offer a variety of delicious Italian sandwiches, meatballs, espresso, and more.

Then James Beard Award semifinalist Rick Easton brought his Roman-style pizza and smorgasbord of baked goods to the neighborhood from Pittsburgh -- earning a rave New York Times review and the requisite long lines. The bakery has opted for a preorder and pickup system during the pandemic, preparing focaccia, cookies, bomboloni, and of course, pizza. This restaurant is about 25 minutes walk or a quick taxi ride.

Owner and baker, Rick Easton is a James Beard nomination. The food here is excellent but expect a 10-20 min wait time to order. It is a very popular spot. I arrived at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday and didn’t order until 6. I brought home to eat as the tables were full. They are closed Monday and Tuesday.
