The famous Mohd Shah Nasi Baryani is one of the most written about nasi baryani shops in Malaysia’s nasi baryani Capital, Batu Pahat. The very reasonable price comes with a big piece of mutton rendang with bone on and a large heap of top quality Basmati rice.Each long grain of Basmati rice is coated with fragrant spices and ghee. The slightly nutty rice is not overly oily. The best of eating nasi baryani at Mohd Shah comes from the kambing (mutton) rendang. The entire piece of mutton is saturated with fragrance and flavour.The delicious mutton rendang is tender and moist inside.

There are many shops that claim to offer the best nasi beriyani, but according to many people, Mohd Shah’s Baryani is the best. It located at Gerai Niaga Peserai (opposite the Putra Specialist Hospital). In this humble stall, there are big metal pots of mutton and chicken and, of course, the nasi beriyani. The line is long, but the service is fast. The beriyani looked appetizing with a hearty dish of lamb. On the other hand, the lamb is delicious. The meat had a spiced flavor, tender and thick, which proved that it had been cooking for hours.
