Great place to take surfing lessons. They also rent all different boards. The beach is great for learning on smaller days. Call ahead and check the surf report. Also great restaurants to eat in Jobos beach.

The town of Isabela has the best beach to learn how to surf in and my friends Hanna and husband, former local pro surfer Juan Ashton run this surf school in Jobos Beach ( about a 35-40 minute drive from the Casita). Located right on the beach and next to Uma's restaurant, where your non-surfing crew can watch you catch a wave or wipe out safely while enjoying a nice cold cerveza and grabbing a bite to eat.

Jobos beach is where most all of us locals caught or got pushed on our first waves by our parents... Now, my family and I have created a surf school sponsored by Volcom and Electric eyewear, in which we can instill the stoke of surfing to everyone (all ages and levels). An amazing sandbar is a permanent fixture at this breathtaking surf spot. And once you have mastered paddling and popping up at the sandbar you can upgrade to "Los Setos" a very fun wave, just to the west of Jobos rock, that provides a bit more of a challenge and allows you to stay out of the locals way at the peak "rock."
