This is where most of the people land. Many stores are around the airport and perfect for shopping groceries before you get to the place you are staying.

Make sure to make your car rental reservation in advance, if you need a car. The cars are limited during high season and sometimes they will overbook. Maui has many conventions on the island and sometimes the cars will not be available on short notice.
