Bran Castle was initially a medieval fortress and later on a lovely summer residence owned by The Queen Marie of Romania. Bran Castle became the very famous Dracula's Castle after Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula.

At 30 km from Brasov you will be able to visit one of the most spectacular sights. Bran Castle has a lot of fascinating mysteries behind it and a very interesting history. It was originally built for military purposes, but over time its structure has changed. Many tourists choose to visit it because of the story about Dracula.

Must see place in Transylvania. Tip: don't forget to go and see the Dungeons, and the tickets are only available from the in-court castle shop close by the exit (easy to miss the opportunity!!!). You will see the circular lift in the courtyard.
