The Sint-Jans Hospital is one of the oldest existing care centers and was the most important place in Bruges for health care for centuries. The oldest part of the complex now serves as a museum where you can learn more about life in the old hospital. There is also an exhibition about one of the most famous Flemish artists (Flemish Primitives): Hans Memling. When you are there, don't forget to look up at the monumental roof structure. The 19th century complex is nowadays used for exhibitions, congresses and all kinds of events.

Another unique thing to do in Bruges is to attend one of the free harp concerts by local harpist Luc Vanlaere. These are held in Site Oud Sint Jan, which is located on Mariastraat 38 right across from Our Lady Church. The concerts take place Tuesday to Saturday at 3 pm, 5 pm, and 6.30 pm, with each session lasting 40 minutes.
