It is further than Scarborough beach. Matunuck has decent facilities, not as extensive as Scarborough which is also true for the parking. Sometimes there is red algae or tide on Matunuck so that is why I prefer the East Beach or Scarborough. However if you are down this way, Matunuck Oyster Bar has the best seafood (and biggest lines resulting) in the state.
