It is very famous for the flower of a cherry tree and autumnal leaves . There is fusuma painting which moves and it is very interesting. Daimonji mountain can be climbed from a hidden mountain.
Bishamondo is one of the Tendai sect's five monzeki (Imperial) temples in Kyoto. Said to have been founded in 703, the temple was relocated to its present site in the hills southeast of Kyoto in 1665. It's main image of worship is Bishamonten, one of the Guardians of the Four Directions (Shitenno), who is also revered as one of the Seven Lucky Gods.
