I love going to see the gorgeous flowers in an array of colours, and to feel the bustling vibe. There is often live music, and couples and families strolling around. You always see people around east London with flowers wrapped in brown paper and you know they’ve been to Columbia Road. The street is also full of independent shops full of creativity. They start setting up at 4 am and open at 8 am, though I’ve never made it there before 12 noon.

Recommend going early to get the pick of the bunch, the freshest flowers and beat the crowds Prices are usually reduced around 3-4pm

Open on Sunday mornings til 1400, the whole St gets lined with flower stalls, selling reasonably priced (for london) flowers. I imagine you wouldn't be buying any, but the street is lovely, and there are loads of coffee shops and bakeries too!

Weekly flower market on a Sunday morning and early afternoon. Great for a stroll down when the whether is nice!

There is no better way to spend a Sunday with us than a stroll through the famous flower market, and maybe brunch or Sunday Lunch in the many excellent pubs and restaurants.
