Check the schedule as the train comes about once an hour. 20 minutes to Manhattan (Penn Station) which connects you to the rest of Manhattan as well as NJ and EWR airport, via NJ Transit.

For the fastest service to Manhattan, take the Long Island Railroad from Kew Gardens and you'll be at Penn Station/Madison Square Garden in 15 minutes.

Eastbound (returning to Kew Gardens from Manhattan) If you are taking the LIRR at Penn Station to return to Kew Gardens, please remember only the first FOUR CARS of the train will open the door to exit at Kew Gardens station. When boarding the platform/track, look at the platform to see the sign that says “Front of train” with an arrow pointing to which direction is the “front” of the train (or ask a conductor on the train, they will usually peek out to check for boarding customers). Use the TrainTime app (or LIRR website) to see schedules and which Track (Track Number will appear as it is updated) you will be boarding
