Russian influence is seen in food and art throughout SE Alaska. Definitely check out this locals favorite on Merchant’s Wharf for authentic Russian dumplings.

Pel'meni is on the Wharf and is also a local favorite that most people don't know about. This little restaurant brings the flavors of Russia to Juneau. I recommend ordering one serving per each person in your party, and two sour creams each. If you dip your portions in the sour cream it just ties all the flavors together.

Popular Russian dumpling eatery that is cheap and stays open late. There are only 2 things on the menu: meat or potato dumplings. Make sure to eat it with a side of sour cream.
