Enjoy pleasant walks along the river bank down a paved walkway just before the bridge. Just up the hill from the Union Chain Bridge on the English side is the Chain Bridge Honey Farm, where there is an exhibition on chain suspension bridges and bees that produce the local honey sold in the shop.

Officially opened in 1820, this is the oldest suspension bridge to still carry traffic and is about 7 miles from Swinton. Very close to the Honey Farm.
