Founded in 1863 when Brooklyn was its own city, BHS covers 400 years of Brooklyn's development through photographs, paintings, memorabilia and interactive exhibitions. Open Wednesday - Saturday.

Absolutely the best collection of all Brooklyn history. I recommend a tour of the museum.
