Rent a kayak here and explore Casco Bay from the water. There is also a nice bike trail that you can take into the old port.

A favorite spot for families and dog-walkers. If it's busy, check out some of the coves around this area. We often find beach glass around here.

Right in Portland this is a great area to park and explore. You can even extend the walk and head into downtown and make it a day. This is a great stop before heading over the bridge to the lighthouses in South Portland!

Make sure you take a dip in the ocean. This is a very dog friendly beach. Google all the other nearby beaches.

Walk the Eastern Promenade trail to this small city beach, popular with dog owners for off-leash morning and evening hours. Up the hill from the beach, the Eastern Promenade park offers unparalleled views of Casco Bay and Portland Harbor. Great place to picnic!
