Great views of York (and into some really attractive gardens). The best section is entering via Monk Bar (bottom of Bootham) and leaving at Goodramgate, or vice versa. Free and no booking, but check opening hours for access.

perfect way to see York is to walk the walls. plenty of stop off points to grab a coffee or bite to eat.

I highly recommend a walk around the city walls you will see the city from a different perspective. The whole circuit is about 2/3 miles long but you can walk it in smaller sections between the 'bars' and take a break at a cafe or pub.
