There are so many local wineries to choose from but if you only get the chance to visit one, Rathfinny is really very lovely. This family owned wine estate is in the perfect location to produce its award-winning Sussex Sparkling Wine. With estate tours, tasting rooms and multiple dining options it is easy to spend a whole day here in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

The Rathfinney Wine estate is just 2 miles to the south of Alfriston. Established in 2010 by Mark and Sarah Driver, the Rathfinney estate is focussed on producing fine sparkling wine in the ideal conditions offered by the cooler UK climate and the chalk soil from the South Downs. The Rathfinney Estate offers wine tours and tastings 3 times per day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the summer, and 1 time per day on Saturdays and Sunday during the winter. These need to be booked in advance. The Estate aslo hosts 2 restaurants, one which offers a "fine dining" experience while the other offers more traditional Gastro Pub fare.

A simply stunning vineyard near Alfriston (a small village worth visiting as well). You can visit Rathfinny to eat or simply to enjoy a glass of their sparkling wine. Visit their site to check opening times.
