Great seafood, it’s a barefoot kinda place, yes! barefoot in the restaurants! It’s what it was like years ago before ‘rules’ were applied. Juan will pick you up by boat for free, eating at his place is required, there are several choices but Juan’s is our favorite and all the locals too! (Call Juan’s cell at 8628-7252) Puntarenitas is a tip of sand where a handful of fisherman live and hand built small rustic eateries, roofed with hammocks and tables in the sand. Ice cold beer is available from old non-working refrigerators laying on the ground and filled with ice. A generator can be heard in the background for music. It’s really funky and a great way to have some great seafood, a cold beverage and watch the locals enjoying the afternoon! Not to be missed
