Here in a region where Oregon’s tallest mountain meets the mightiest river, inspiration comes in full force — during hikes along towering trees and waterfalls, after farm-fresh feasts showcasing the season, on cozy cabin getaways where the only to-do is snowshoeing, or atop a chairlift admiring the winter wonderland below. Mt. Hood is home to six ski areas and the nation’s longest ski season

Mt Hood offers awesome recreation opportunities year-round. Skiing options include Mt. Hood Meadows, Timberline, and Ski Bowl. You can even spring and summer ski at Timberline on Palmer Glacier. Or put the ski poles down, and lace up your hiking shoes to explore places like Ramona Falls, McNeil Point, and Lost Lake. Or get really ambitious and section hike part of the Pacific Crest Trail or hike all-the-way around Mt. Hood on the Timberline Trail (~40 miles). I've done it and, trust me, it's totally worth it!

If you’re flying in on a clear day, you might’ve already seen Mt. Hood! But it’s even better up close. A scenic 1.5 hour drive east with a lot to explore en route—Hood River, Government Camp, etc!
Hiking, skiing and lots of exploring can be found in and around the beautiful Mt. Hood, OR area! (located about 1.75 hrs away)
