Hiking trail's Golden state park is about 1/2 hr drive.

A great state park with miles of trails. An entry fee to park does apply.

Best hiking within a moderate distance from Denver. Requires purchasing a day pass for $8. We like starting at the Nott parking lot, which is the furthest East trailhead in the park.
