Search the internet for Malanaphy Springs. Five miles west of town. Super easy 1/2 mile gravel trail to waterfall. Easy, low investment two hours of enjoyment.

This hidden gem is said to have the most diversity of wildflowers in the state of Iowa and at the end of the trail is a waterfall! During college, Maren loved to bike here from campus (4 miles one way) and then hike back to the waterfall to study. It's a great spot.
