Since early September cariocas and tourists can now enjoy the new Praça Mauá, the area which underwent four years of works as part of the Porto Maravilha revitalization project. Surrounded by the Rio Art Museum (MAR) and the Museum of Tomorrow , the square becomes a new tourist spot to walk in the City Centre.

Area totally revamped. It deserves a couple of hours to visit: Museu do Amanhã, Boulevard Olímpico, CCBB, Centro Cultiral dos Correios, Casa França-Brasil, etc. They are a must see places. An many places to eat. You can go there by taking: BRT Express to Metro and then taking Metro to downtown. The roundtrip ticket will cost you approximately R$ 16.
