The Galata Bridge s a bridge that spans the Golden Horn in Istanbul, Turkey. From the end of the 19th century in particular, the bridge has featured in Turkish literature, theater, poetry and novels.

On your way to or from Sultanahmet, be sure to stop and sit under the Galata bridge for a drink/snack. Great place to sun yourself and watch the boats pass by.

Walking across the bridge is a great great way to see the city. Many fish restaurants underneath with fantastic views of the golden horn and the entrance to the bosphorus.
