The easiest way to reach Waialea beach from Waimea is to take Kawaiahe Rd down to highway 19 make a left . Turn to the right just after you pass Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beach resorts, onto Puako Beach Drive. Once you are on the Puako beach drive, take the first right onto the Old puako road. Read the numbers on the telephone pole and turn left between poles 69 and 70 (about half a mile). Payed parking is available near the beach.

This is the PERFECT shady beach! The shade goes all the way to the ocean and then the waves are pretty much perfect too. There are bathrooms and showers here too. It’s one of our top three and once all my kids are swimming it will probably be our #1.

Also called beach 69, this is a great little beach that has lots of shade. When you walk up to the beach, take a right. This is where you’ll find the best sand and entry for swimming.

Beautiful beach, typically less crowded, great for snorkeling, lots of trees for shade.

Nice calm water and tree lined beach for a shady experience. Next door to Hapuna State Beach.
