ICE CREAM WAS BORN IN FLORENCE! Not everyone knows that the birth of the milk-based or cream-based ice cream is quite recent: it born around 1565 in Florence, at the court of Caterina De' Medici, thanks to the architect Bernardo Buontalenti. The famous cream flavour that you can find only here in Florence, in fact, takes its name from the architect who invented it!
