Good info on area hikes, backpacking, camping etc. Can obtain permits here as well.

If you plan to hike in the national forest San Jacinto Wilderness Area (all the hikes up Devils Slide Trail and above) you must register at the Ranger Station in town first to obtain a free Wilderness Permit. They can answer questions regarding recommended hikes given the current weather conditions etc. Helpful folks
