Historic center, great walking trails

This is very close by and a fairly moderate hike in the woods. Monson has a combination of wooded areas and a lovely open field. Great for a picnic! This is the site of a colonial community that mysteriously was abandon. Always protect yourself from ticks, though they are not at all bad at this site.
